Are animals allowed in the building?
A

Animals are prohibited with the exception of trained service animals which must remain on a leash or harness at all times.

Are you hiring?
A

The Food and Beverage Department as well as Operations are always looking at applications. Visit our Employment page for more info, or you can pick up an application in our office.

Can cameras be used during concerts?
A

This is usually up to the Tour Manager. Most of the time cameras are welcomed but no flash or video is allowed.

Can I bring food in for my event?
A

You may bring a cake, nuts and/or mints in but any other food must be purchased through us and be prepared by our Executive Chef Bob Newell. If you would like something not on our menu, come in and meet with Chef Bob. He can create a menu just for your event.

Can I buy tickets to an event in another venue there?
A

No, we only sell tickets to events in our building.

Can I get tickets at your building?
A

You can! We are a Ticketmaster building. For any Ticketmaster event happening in our building, we will sell tickets for it in our office. You can also purchase tickets online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000.

Can I rent A/V equipment for my event?
A

Yes. We have screens, projectors, and microphones available for every area in our building.

Can we walk for exercise in the building?
A

You can unless we have an event going on in our lobby. Then we ask you not to walk on that day.

I would like my event outside. Do you have an area for that?
A

Yes, we have our Plaza area. We have a beautiful Plaza between the building and the Des Moines River that is perfect for a wedding, banquet, or any kind of party.

Is there ample parking?
A

We have a large lot on site plus parking along the street. We also can use The Beach Ottumwa to the east of the building for our overflow guests. More information is available on our Directions & Parking page.

Is there an ATM in the building?
A

Yes, just inside the front doors.

What about a refund or exchange for tickets?
A

Our policy is no refunds or exchanges.

What are your Box Office hours?
A

We sell tickets in our Administrative Office Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. On an event day, we will start selling tickets two hours before showtime. Some weekend event days, we will be in the office earlier for ticket selling. Watch our Facebook page for details on whether we will be open.

What forms of payment does the box office accept?
A

The box office accepts cash, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover), debit cards or gift cards. The Bridge View Center box office does not accept checks.

What is the cost to rent Bridge View Center?
A

Room rental will depends on how much space you will require. Our Event Manager will be able to assist you in choosing the best space that will accommodate your guests for your specific event.

What time do doors open prior to an event?
A

Generally, doors open one hour prior to show time.

What’s going on there today?
A

For all public events, you will be able to see what is happening by checking our website or the marquee in front of the building.

Why are the tickets so much more than advertised on your website?
A

Our tickets are through Ticketmaster. When ordering online, Ticketmaster does charge a convenience fee. If you are ordering through a third party website, those fees could be quite large and since they aren’t through Ticketmaster, we can’t look up an account for you if there are problems.
