One major struggle people have when relocating to a new community is not feeling connected to it. Ottumwa’s Welcome & Connect service has put together a series of interactive, social gatherings called “Engage” designed to help you make meaningful friendships, experience Ottumwa dining options, and putting you in locations that you may not have visited all while teaching you about our city. We will introduce you to information on Ottumwa and how to make the most of your time here. Topics will include information on Ottumwa’s History, Recreation, Economics, Arts and Culture. “Engage” meets once a week over a series of five weeks.

Engage is available to all newcomers who have relocated here within the last five years. Class sizes are limited to 25 participants. Engage is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Engage is generally offered twice a year.
